Creating Engaging E-Learning Using PowerPoint

This workshop is targeting to introduce the technological and educational criteria in designing Professional PowerPoint presentations as an engaging tool in electronic learning. In this workshop, the general concept of electronic learning and its tools will be discussed with an emphasis on the most important supporting software in developing effective PowerPoint presentations for electronic learning. This workshop is targeting to get practical skills, know-how and knowledge rather than theoretical information. To achieve this goal, the workshop will be composed of combination of lectures, case studies, discussions and hands on experience by using computers.

Target Group:
Faculty members in the universities, teaching assistants and lecturers. (maximums number is 20)
Required Skills:

Basic skills in using MS- PowerPoint. Having advanced computer skills is not required to join the course.

Goals :
After attending this workshop, the trainee will be able to:
  1. Define the electronic learning concept.
  2. Define the blended learning concept.
  3. Recognize the Learning systems (traditional, electronical and blended).
  4. Determine the electronical learning tools.
  5. Define the instructional design concept.
  6. Determine the PowerPoint presentations educational criteria.
  7. Determine the PowerPoint presentations technical criteria.
  8. Recognize the most important supporting software in developing effective PowerPoint presentations for electronic learning, such as:
    • I present Presio
    • Articulate Presenter 5.1
    • Articulate Engage 1.1
    • Articulate Quizmaker 2.03
    • Course Lab 2.4
  9. Have practical training on designing interactive PowerPoint presentations for engaging electronic learning.
Note:
Participants are required to bring their own lap tops.
